- Reverse painting on glass, by Esther Smith Weeks (1903-1992), Gilford, NH. Woven basket of fruits: apples, plums, blueberries. Basket is on green grass. Background includes blue sky and reddish clouds. 1.25" border includes gold leaf ornaments with green and brown splatter. Note on discarded cardboard backing: "Common fruit pattern, often used for reverse painting. Gold leaf in border was difficult. ... Brown basket with 3 red fruit and 5 blue fruit. Gray background with 4 gold leaf ornaments." Three patterns included -- ink on tissue image, ink on tissue border only, and ink on mylar.
