- 9" Spring Doll, 1940s or 1950s, carrying flowers, and wearing tag from "The Hansel & Gretel Shop Melvin Village, N.H." Felt body, felt wrapped neck. Painted face, eyes closed, smiling open mouth. Long reddish-brown yarn hair. Wearing green dress with blue and peach rickrack edging, white cotton pique underskirt with lace trim, white jersey underpants and socks, yellow "Mary Jane" shoes with straps and green composite soles. Pinned to right hand is a spray of white flowers tied with a pink satin bow. Beige paper tag tied to left wrist with red string: "The Hansel & Gretel Shop / Melvin Village, N.H. / $4.98 / 'ANNALEE' DOLL- / HANDMADE IN N.H." Woven label stitched into dress seam (other side pinked), white rayon with red lettering "Annalee / MEREDITH, N.H." Number tag present: "258".
