- Description:
- Handmade Wood Ski (.1) and Leather Ski Boot (.2), c.1957. These two objects had been taped to a cardboard mount with the following 2 labels: "THE LAST SKI & BOOT / MADE 1957 / SKIS ALL SIGNED BY / Annalee" and "MADE ABOUT 1955 WHEN / MY HUSBAND and I PUT BODY and / SOUL INTO THIS DOLL VENTURE", as well as the number "401" penciled on back and a number tag "S119" (objects removed from cardboard mount prior to accessioning). Ski (.1) is wood with metal binding, and has a turned-up front end. Signed on front end, "Annalee". Clear color finish on surface, painted red on bottom. Sides beveled. Boot (.2) is blue faux-leather vinyl, with white string shoe lace, and composition (linoleum?) sole. Sole of boot fits into binding of ski.
