Description:

Sewing kit in shape of a rocking chair, souvenir of Weirs Beach, NH. Silver-color molded plastic rocking chair, with side extensions to hold thread (6 spools), stuffed seat pin cushion, drawer under seat for loose items, and loop in back to hold scissors (scissors missing). Spools of thread are wooden with paper label, and wrapped with thread. Label reads, "GOLDFARB NOV.CO. / 7 YDS / JAPAN / FAST COLOR-MERCERIZED" (except .G, see object register). Seat is made of tan fabric. Drawer is marbleized tan plastic. Chair back frames a chromolithograph depicting an Indian wearing full feather Plains headress and beads, with text, "WEIRS BEACH / NEW HAMPSHIRE". Image colors include red, brown, yellow, blue, and white. Overall dimensions: 5" high, 6.5" wide, 4.5" deep. Thread spools: 1" high, 0.6" diam.
