Parasol. Black silk with black lace border. Lining is an iridescent blue-red material. Smoothed wooden "branch" handle. Ten ribs. Wooden knob finial with brass tacks. Retaining cord loop that holds parasol together when closed.

Provenance:

A collection of objects from the Wilton, NH, home of the donor's mother, Bertha Gage (Stone) Batchelder (1889-1977). The objects in the gift came from the home of Josephine H. Gage (1850-1919), the sister of the donor's grandmother, Eliza Jane (Gage) Stone (1859-1938).
