- Dress. Worn by Susan M. Calef (1841-1910). Black silk taffeta "best dress" with cotton twill in bodice lining and glazed cotton linng in skirt. Very full skirt gathered at waist. Covered buttons on front opening. Mostly all original. Strange flap of taffeta in bodice under button side.
