Top hat, A. J. Souza, Concord, NH. Man's gray felt top hat with wide brown leather sweat band. Brim edged with gabardine material as well as 2" gray band. Paper lining in top, with blue paper label: "THIS HAT BELONGS / TO / - / - / BOUGHT OF / RICHARDSON & ADAMS. / CONCORD."; below label is printed image of woman ("LIBERTY") with eagle and "AMERICAN MANUFACTURE". Paper label on sweat band: "A.J. SOUZA, / HAIRDRESSER, / 21 North Main Street, / OPPOSITE DEPOT STREET / CONCORD, N. H."
