- Description:
- Hat, man's uniform. Painted black leather bell-crowned cap with slightly sloping rounded visor rimmed with brass. Flat top. Trimmed with long 19" gray feather plume. Brass band above visor attached with two round stamped brass rosettes and with 12 almost round brass buttons on a leather braid at rim of crown. Brown leather sweat band. Fabric lining. Underside of visor and interior of top are green. Paper tag attached to plume, inscribed "E. G. Brown".
