- Hat, man's uniform. Black leather bell-shaped cap with sharply down-sloping visor edged with brass. Cap trimmed with pressed leather and gold button in front, above gold pressed brass eagle plate, with ornamental gold-colored brass chin straps fastened with two star-pattern stamped rosettes, with two small stamped rosettes near top of crown above larger ones to hold chin with leather strap at back of cap. Top of crown lined with blue-green checked fabric.
