- Top hat. Man's tall black beaver hat. Slight flare to top. Black striped ribbon around base of crown. Edge of flat brim bound with silk. Black faux leather sweat band. Red paper lining. "J Brown" penciled inside. Embossed maple leaf inside top, with gold imprint, "CYRUS HILL / LOW'S / BLOCK / Concord, N. H.", with castle at top.
