- Hat, Uniform. Governor's Horse Guards hat; fur cap, busby style with black fur crown topped with red cloth that hangs down to the left side of the crown with gold metalic tassel, adorned with gold metalic cord in the front and with red and grey-green yarn plume attached with gold metal holder in front. Plain black leather chin straps matching the trim at the base of the fur cap, label inside reads "BENT & BUSH / Lowell (address) & Boston (address). Also attached white cloth with "John H. --s-"
