- Hat, uniform. Tri-cornered black brush (slightly furry) felt nap on stiff board. Trimmed with black grosgrain and adorned with two black ostrich feathers. Pressed gold eagle medallion applied over black ribbon to one side. Silk rosette. Leather (?) sweat band inside crown. Printed on paper lined crown "BENT & BUSH" Also written in pencil: "J.F. Briggs (&) J.B. Abbott".
