- Handkerchief of plain-woven dark blue and cream linen, woven with center field of small houndstooth checks, bordered by bands along sides of narrow stripes of the blue and cream, meeting at corners to form blue blocks edged in cream. Two sides are selvedge, and two sides are hemmed by hand. Marked in one corner with "D D" in cream silk cross stitches.
