- Carpet, Flossa. Demonstration sample. Hand woven by Rebecca Gallagher Williams (1905-1991) of Hanover, NH. Rectangular. Plain weave background with linen warp yarns and cotton rag warps, Rya or Scandinavian (symmetrical) knotted pile of wool in white, shades of blue, gray, and natural linen yarns knotted pile. Plain woven edges, alternating blue and tan weft. Two ends with braided warp fringe. Two selvedges.
