- Purse. Taupe silk with embroidered design in brown, blue and rose stripes with larger self-color design between stripes. Top gathered over small, round bones and again about one inch from top. Lined with white cotton. Drawstrings missing.

- All materials from the attic of the Burpee homestead in New London, a neighbor of the donor. The Burpee family has been in this home since 1817.
