- Description:
- Plane, molding. "M W". Dark brown, fine-grained hardwood. Some annular rings showing on heel. Chamfer starts halfway up front, extends to square front corner, runs across top edge to rounded back corner and partway down back side. Chamfer on right side starts in a slight notch at edge of extension and then mirrors that on left side and also terminates in slight notch. Top edge of extension is slightly concave. Cutting pattern is concave groove. Width of wood: 0.45". Depth of groove: 0.04". Wide single-plane chamfer across bottom edge on left side. Stamp on front edge facing right side, about halfway up: "MW". Plane body looks like it may have been slightly refinished by sanding as there are sanding marks on sides, top, and ends.
