Chamfer on left side starts about halfway up, extends to top square corner, across top to a rounded rear edge and partway down side. No notches at either end of chamfer. On right side chamfer mirrors that of left side but starts at top surface of extension. Top surface of extension has definite shallow rounded groove in it. A couple of small grooves above extension on side of body. Small land adjacent to groove on extension top surface. On left side is a wide, flat chamfer across bottom edge. Cutting pattern in concave groove. Width of groove on iron is 0.75". Depth of cut is 0.1" based on iron measurement. Body has shrunk a little at mouth area so there is small crack on left side behind mouth. Heel has tool marks on it that appear to have smoothed it out some time ago. Toe surface also looks to be smoothed somewhat. Stamp on toe vertically oriented, facing right side: "M W". Iron has tang on left side. End of it is turned over a little from being struck.
