Slightly rounded vertical edge at back that leads down to a notch. Same pattern holds true on right side. On right side at back, edge has been abused so is slightly roughed. Horizontal notches on either side seem to be more of a symbol than actual limiting ends for chamfers. Straight chamfer at bottom edge on both sides. Right side edge chamfer is a little bit wider than left side. Cutting pattern is broad concave surface. Depth of concave space is 0.09". Width of cutting points on iron is 2.1". Iron is 2.25" wide. Stamp right side body: "L DODG..". Left-hand edge struck fairly deep. Stamp on toe. Semi-circular box stamp with plain edge with extra raised edge line around box. Contains "T J McMaster" elements but some obscured. Below is one rectangular stamp with extra line around edge: "AUBUR[N]" with end of box. Below that is another box stamp, portion of corner obscured: "N Y" which are also worn. Back iron and iron fastened together with flathead cap screw with single slot. Screw rides in a long slot in iron and has key way at top of slot. On back iron rectangular raised area where screw is threaded through it to give extra thickness for threads. Top edge of back iron is flat and has clipped corners, top edges are all chamfered. Small horizontal stamp near top "C..." Top edge of iron is turned over due to striking. Iron has flat top edge and two clipped corners.
