- Description:
- Plane, "L DODGE". Medium-brown, fine-grained hardwood. Chamfer starts at front with small groove and extends up to right-angle corner across top to rounded rear corner and down back edge to another groove approximately half-way up. Chamfer pattern mirrored on other side of plane body. Cutting pattern on bottom is flat surface. Iron width 1". Sole of plane is curved. Height of body of front is 2.9", height at back is 2.8". Large single surface chamfer on both sides of plane before and after throat. Chamfers decrease sole surface at front and rear. Some hammer marks on heel. Stamp on left side, upside down, all caps, serif: "L DODGE". Iron has tang in center. Some inactive corrosion on cutting surface. Tang has slight downward bend in center. Stamp on tang: "[...]ASH & C[o]".
