- Description:
- Plane, molding. "M W". Light tan, fine-grained hardwood. On left small horizontal groove at front edge on left side about halfway up. Upward from groove, edge is chamfered to a right angle top front edge. Top left edge is chamfered from front to rounded back edge. Back edge chamfered downward to a small horizontal groove that roughly corresponds with height of extension on right side. On right side chamfering mirrors the configuration on left side. Top of extension has shallow concave groove in it. Wide, straight chamfer left bottom edge. Right bottom edge is slightly rounded due to wear. Pattern is concave groove. Width of it is 0.76", depth in center is 0.11". Stamped on top surface of tang "{...}E S CA{...}". Stamped on front vertically: "MW". End of iron is turned-over a bit.
