Description:

Level, Watchmaker's. Level mounted in metal stand. Metal is brass and another heavy metal, probably iron or steel. Flat bar forms base, with two curved braces set on each end, supporting a round dial in center. Center of dial holds level, plate around dial is marked in 3 degree increments. An adjustable needle points to degrees. "L.L. DAVIS / ADJUSTABLE SPIRIT LEVEL / PAT SEP. 17 1867".
