On bottom is lightly-worn groove parallel to sides of perimeter all the way around edge. Small cluster holes in sole in front behind toe. At front under arch, under main portion of heel in center are filled holes possibly from shoe pegs that have been cut off. In addition to worn groove are a number of other diamond-shaped holes and some small straight holes around edge of last. Back of last are cluster of about eight holes near center and above it are two holes. Black of last are a few small vertical cracks. Probably made for right foot because of larger and higher area on left side for arch. Has a number of shoe pegs driven through it to hold it in place. Near front, some of these shoe pegs are loose. Leather was carved to create smooth, compound curves. Slight notch in top of leather where it is adjacent to removable section. Added area starts just behind large toe and ball of foot. On right side of last is carved, leather section applied with shoe pegs. 5.2" long x 1" high near center. Tapers vertically to smaller dimensions at front and back as well as getting thinner. Slight notch to accommodate removable section. Front edge of right side applique starts further back than left side piece. Smaller, recessed area for arch on right side of last. On right side above arch is series of ten dark spots that form almost horizontal line. On left side is another series of linear spots that are removable section and main portion.
