- Description:
- Carpet sweeper. Surprise Suction Sweeper, made by Utility Import & Export Company, New York, NY. Maple handle moves up and down for suction action. Body is of cuprous metal in cylindrical form, painted maroon color in bottom section. Vacuum head at base, imprinted on front: "SURPRISE / SUCTION / SWEEPER / MANUFACTURED BY / Utility Import & Export Co. / 30 & 32 E 20th St. / New York City." Stamped "U.S. PAT. FEB. 4 '08 - LICENSE No. 12587" at bottom.
