- Peel, wooden. Flat handle flaring at end to form a grip. 0.125" hole in handle. Spade end has curved shoulders. End shows much wear. Scribe marks for cutting of shoulders visible on handle. Weathered.

- A collection of objects from the Wilton, NH, home of the donor's mother, Bertha Gage (Stone) Batchelder (1889-1977). The objects in the gift came from the home of Josephine H. Gage (1850-1919), the sister of the donor's grandmother, Eliza Jane (Gage) Stone (1859-1938).
