a. Top edge of sheet irregular. It curves downward about 3" to a point just left of center from both right and left edges. Sheet lines up and overlaps by about 3" at left edge and about 4" at right edge to sheet (b). Part of pattern top edge of this sheet, drawn with such force that it copied pattern on overlap sheet below it by leaving white lines on the lower two sheet. Even the portion of fruit mentioned on (b) which has rest of it in paper on sheet (a). Fanciful pastoral scene on this sheet. Water at bottom. Shoreline with short plant leaves along its edge indicated by single lines. Tree trunk that narrows as it leads upwards ~ 15", at center. At that point, trunk forks, becomes smaller, and leads to sheet above where it becomes smaller. Right-hand side forks and leads over to edge of sheet. Deer like animal standing on edge of water facing left. on right side in foreground. It appears to be eating fruit coming from fanciful plant that may come from tree. Behind deer, two levels of a hill. Top level, stem leads up, curves slightly and goes off top edge of sheet. It passes behind branch of tree at that section. Smaller stem leads to left below branch, curves downward, roughly parallel to branch, with small, round fruit on short, thick stems. Flat area then upward curve to create a hill to left of tree at bottom. Another line from right side that passes behind tree to create hill level. A shorter horizontal line creates slightly shorter hill that proceeds to right side of drawing. Rabbit-like animal facing right at left side, where hill elevated. Several fanciful plants in back ground between rabbit and tree trunk. Stem that rises upwards and splits into two in foreground between rabbit and tree trunk. Right-hand portion curves to right and upward slightly. It terminates in large fanciful leaf, in front of tree in that area. Stem that splits, leads upwards on left side. It has fanciful leaf near split. Another fanciful leaf that leads off to right. Stem continues upwards with three small leaves and perhaps a fanciful blossom. Three pointed petals on blossom, similar to one described below. At very top of this sheet at left side, continuation of blossom and acorn fruit pattern from sheet (b). On back of this sheet, number of creases in paper due to pencil pressure from front.
b. This sheet roughly matches up with bottom edge of (c). About four stems at bottom. Stems curve to form a perch for bird facing left at right side. Bird eating some acorn-like fruit on fruit and leaf cluster. Stem leads upward and to left behind bird at center. It joins with bottom edge of sheet (c). Smaller stem with one fanciful leaf. Stem off of it is a fanciful blossom leading to other sheet and a fanciful blossom. Fanciful leaf cluster that hangs down and ends just about at bird on this sheet at right side. Most of this cluster on sheet (c). Lots of small white spots created by pencil pressure on back side. Some white lines due to creases in paper. White lines that lead to pencil lines for stems along bottom edge. White lines of fanciful fruit and leaves similar to one above which are acorn style at left side. Single acorn fruit partially pencil-drawn and partially the white creased product from the paper in lower left.
c. Tracing paper. Some white spots where paper folded and creased causing these marks. Bottom edge unevenly cut. Short, straight segments with jagged end points along bottom edge. Two stems together that come up together on bottom edge. Right-hand stem curves to right and terminates in fanciful blossom. Left-hand stem comes up and terminates in very fanciful leaf. Two smaller plain leaves midway up stem. Fanciful leaf with internal drawings of plain blossoms and plain leaves. Stem leads up from bottom edge at right-hand side. It splits into two. Left-hand portion terminates in fanciful blossom. Right-hand stem goes further up page terminating in two single, fanciful leaves and another stem with small leaves opposed to each other on it. Simple rendering of portion of possible blossom with two leaves in lower left corner. Pencil script in lower left corner: "right center". A number of tears along edges of drawn plant materials. Evidence of creases in paper created by pressure of pencil. - Material:
