Elevated view of Great Falls, Somersworth, NH. Fenced in park or lawn center foreground; roads to the left and right with horse and carriages. Town view middle and background; buildings include, mill buildings, churches, and houses. Printed above, in upper margin: "No. 11 / ALBUM OF NEW ENGLAND SCENERY". At the bottom far left of illustration: "J. B. BACHELDER". At the right below illustration: "LITH OF ENDICOTT Co. N. Y". Title lower center with town seal of Somersworth: "GREAT FALLS, [seal] SOMERSWORTH, N. H. / The Citizens of Great Falls this picture is [seal] most respectfully dedicated by the Publisher / Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1856, by J. B. Bachelder in the Clerks Office of the District Court of Massachusetts." To the right is the flourished signature of "J. B. Bachelder / 59 Beekman St. New York". Emblem in center circular with one ring of text: "SKETCHED FROM THE / HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING." with a picture in the center of what may be the school building. Unframed.
