Glass - Dimensions:
- H-52 W-24 D-1.75 inches
- Provenance:
- The paper label on the reverse of the seal incorrectly identifies it as having been the sign of the Merrimack County Bank which was first chartered as the Concord Bank in 1806 and in 1826 rechartered under the name Merrimack County Bank. This state seal, signed and dated by John S. Blunt 1819, is similar in design to a gallery clock made by Timothy Chandler for the Senate Chamber and was displayed in the interior of the newly completed New Hampshire State House in Concord.
