- Pitcher. Whiteware. White body with light blue transfer print design. Bulbous shaped body with slightly constricting neck that flares slightly at rim; narrow spout; round pedestal base; and strap handle with thumb rest. Molded floral and scroll decoration on body and spout. Design on exterior of body shows two different scenes of daily life. Left side scene shows what looks like a castle in the foreground, with several people including a peasant with a white horse and a woman in a long dress and hat. The right side scene may be a church with a road in front of it. Sitting on the road is a woman with a child and a dog. Two women are riding horseback on the road, and another woman is walking. Foreground has trees, the background has mountains. On front of the pitcher, between those two scenes, is an image of a rose and thistles. The interior and exterior of spout and rim are decorated in a rose pattern. The pedestal base is decorated in a scroll pattern. Transfer printed on bottom, also in blue, is the title "VIEWS / IN / WALES" within a harp. Two other marks on bottom including a blue dot and blue letter that is illegible. Impressed on bottom is the number "2".
