- Folding fan. Pleated black gauze fabric on pierced wooden sticks. Guard sticks have carved foliate decoration. Fabric has hand-painted image of woman seated in chariot pulled by two fanciful butterflies. Machine lace on top edge. Black lacquered loop on head. Long black tassel tied to loop.
