- Needle Case. Bag top and pincushion bottom in pink silk. Case opens to expose yellowish material for holding needles. Pink top has a circular pattern. Edges of case encircled with a striped ribbon. Label on case reads: "I.M. Beard / Freedom, N.H. / Sept. 25, 1947.".

- Provenance:
- Sewing items belonged to Mary Colcord Foster (1766-1860) of Brentwood, NH, the maternal great-grandmother of the donor. They were childhood possessions of Mary Colcord or her daughter.
