- Rifle, muzzle-loading percussion cap rifle. Barrel is octagonal for 10.5" from breech, then round to muzzle. .54 caliber. Wooden ramrod with brass tip. Side of stock has hinged metal compartment storing extra sight leveler. Left hand gain twist rifling. MARKINGS: Engraved metal deer applied to side of stock. Stamped "J.F. BROWN." on hammer plate. Stamped "J. F. BROWN / CAST-STEEL" on octagonal section of barrel.
