- Cutlass. Naval Cutlass, Model 1860. 25.75" curved blade; broad fuller extending from ricasso to 6" from tip. Wood-covered grip with leather wrap. Brass hilt; helmet-shaped pommel; four-sided knucklebow; elliptical counterguard; large brass-plated half-basket guard riveted to knucklebow, obverse side. "D.R. / 186[?]" stamped on ricasso, obverse side. "DR" stamped on top of pommel ridge. "5 M / 934" serial number stamped on elliptical counterguard.
