- Sword, officer's. Worn by Col. Stephen S. Jewett, Laconia, NH, 1860. Steel blade, 5/8" wide, etched with eagle, shield, flags, and "U.S." Maker's mark: "B. F. / HALEY. / NEW / MARKET / N. H." Brass hilt with black grip, eagle and shield, twisted brass wire, and gold ribbon with tassel. Steel scabbard, 30" long; too short for blade.
