- Description:
- Hatpin, aluminum. Cylindrical body 6.6 cm long with long taper toward front. Short taper to rounded back. Wrapped with small, brown, flat filament material, filaments ~0.5 mm wide. Filaments represent warp portion of a leaf. Weft single, fine thread of about same grayish-brown color. Series of gold-tone filaments near end of body in a band 0.7 cm wide. Very end finished with same brown woven material. Two silver-colored ellipses ~4.5 cm long with a series of undulations across width. High points silver, crevices colored darkly. Appearance of abstract insect wings. Body attached to long, pointed steel wire with diameter of 1.3 mm.
