- Allen & Thurber Model 9 Bar Hammer Pistol. Single-shot, percussion cap pistol. Smooth bore, .28 caliber. 2.5" barrel begins octagonal, then necks down to round 1.3" from muzzle. Simple, egg-shaped trigger guard. "ALLEN'S PATENT" stamped on hammer. Decorative floral pattern stamped on sides.
