Reverse: "U.S. MINT. / OATH OF ALLEGIANCE / TAKEN BY THE / OFFICERS AND WORKMEN / SEPT. 2. 1861 / JAS. POLLOCK, DIR.", surrounded by a laurel wreath. In circular white paper box with purple band, inscribed in ink on front and back "Miss Mary A. Downing, Concord, NH".
