- Medal, commemorative, John Stark (1728-1822), 1878. Circular. Cast aluminum alloy. Obverse: military bust profile portrait. Text around perimeter, "MAJ. GEN'L. JOHN STARK, U.S.A. / BORN AUG. 28, 1728 - DIED MAY 8, 1822, AGED 93 YRS. 8 MOS. 35 DAYS. Reverse: coats of arms of the states participating in the battle (Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts) enclosed in a laurel wreath, surrounded by text, "TO COMMEMORATE THE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION OF THE BATTLE OF BENNINGTON / AT BENNINGTON, VT. / AUG. 16 / 1877. ISSUED BY THE VERMONT NUMISMATIC SOCIETY, 1878."
