Obverse: large raised "S" in center with sailboat at top and church, plow, and rifle at bottom; octagonal border; text around perimeter, "250TH ANNIVERSARY . STRATHAM, NEW HAMPSHIRE / 1716-1966". Reverse: boulder with text on it, "GOV. / THOMAS WIGGIN / 1633-1667"; text above boulder, "FOUNDER OF THE / TOWN OF STRATHAM"; text around perimeter, "GOV. THOMAS WIGGIN / 1ST GOVERNOR OF THE PROVINCE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE".
