Obverse: Manchester city seal, red and yellow on white, with black text, "CITY OF MANCHESTER / INCORPORATED JUNE, 1846. / LABOR / VINCIT". Seal includes shield with lake and trees, machine, large factory building, and steam locomotive. Printed paper on reverse: "THE / WHITEHEAD HOAG CO. / NEWARK, N. J. / PATENTED / JULY 17,1894. / APRIL 14, 1896. / JULY 21, 1896."
