One of a pair of silhouettes that apparently represent John Bradley (1779-1856) and Grace (Stevens) Bradley (1778-1818), who were married in Concord, NH, in 1807. John Bradley was for many years a merchant in Fryeburg, ME. The Bradleys had two sons, John Jay and Thomas Stevens.
William Jennys advertised in the "Courier of New Hampshire" that he would be producing silhouettes during his stay at Mr. George's tavern in Concord, NH, June 1805. He married the tavern keepers's daughter, Polly George, in Concord on December 23, 1806. - Credit Line:
- Gift of Margaret H. Jewell
