- Silhouette of unidentified woman, unknown artist, c. 1835. Bust-length, hollow-cut silhouette of a young woman in profile to right; only sitter's head is cut. Black dress with full sleeves, ruffled collar tied with bow, and hair drawn in ink wash. Black paper backing. Ink inscriptions on reverse: "To be given to / Miss M. H. Jewell / 204 Beacon Street / Boston-Mass." Pencil inscription on reverse: "From Washington, NH", along with a lot number sticker: "8". Oval molded wood frame with brass bezel, glazed.
