- Silhouette of Dr. Michael Tubbs (1774-1836), unknown artist, c. 1825. Bust-length, hollow-cut silhouette of a man in profile to left. Two pieces of black textile backing. Sitter's collar and coat are uncut; details of coat collar, black stock, shirt pleating, and hair added in ink. Ink inscription on paper label on frame's backing board: "Dr. Michael Tubbs. / born in Marlow NH / 1774 - d - 1836"; along with pencil inscription "Dr. Tubbs / My great grandfather". Molded gold-painted wood frame with black and gold oval eglomise glazing.
