- Silhouette. Unframed, rectangular portrait of an unidentified woman, possibly of Lucy Lane (1805-1844), unknown artist, c. 1820. Bust-length, hollow-cut profile silhouette of a young woman, facing right. Sitter has large comb in hair. Sitter's hair, collar, and bow under bust detailed in pencil. Paper folded in half, cut through both halves. Pencil inscription reverse lower center: " Lucy Lane?" Unframed.
