Silhouettes. Portraits of Frank B. Newhall and Frank Newhall, by John T. Fiske (1864-1940), 1886. Pencil on paper. Double-sided, bust-length profiles. Side 1: Frank B. Newhall. Man, facing right wearing a collared shirt with buttons down the front (2 visible). Pencil inscription lower center: "Frank B. Newhall / son D. B. Newhall Concord / J.T.F / May 4, 1886." Side 2: Frank Newhal. Man, facing right, wearing a collared shirt and a bowler-type hat. Pencil inscription lower center: "6-3 each / Frank Newhal / May 4, 1886". Signed "JTF" in monogram twice. Unframed.

NOTE: I believe that these two people may be the same individual since both drawings are very similar in the facial features, and I find it unlikely that the illustrator would come across two individuals of such similar names in the same day. As there is no concrete evidence, however, I have left the two entries separate.
