She is wearing a collared dress with some sort of ruffle on the front. Pencil inscription lower center: "Katharine A. Rood / of Stevens Point / Wis. / Sept. 1/92". Pencil inscription bottom right corner on reverse: "Katharine A. Rood / Stevens Point / Wisconsin / Sept. 1, 1892", with a small sketch of the woman's hair. Unframed.
