- Shoe box. Rectangular cardboard box with removable lid. Painted green. Dark blue paper label with gilt border on one long side, with image of buttoned shoe, gold on black: "A. ROCK, / Hanover, / NEW HAMPSHIRE / CUSTOM / BOOTS, / SHOES / AND / RUBBERS" and "J. BAIRD / BOX MAKER / 18 BEDFORD STREET / BOSTON". Wood frame around interior top edge of body. No lining.
