Description:

Wallpaper, two 36" strips. A. Buff background. Silvered flowers, outlined with tan and gilt-dotted circles and crescents. Dark gilt line on flower stems. Circles have silver disc in center with the two concentric circles of gilt and tan circles around them. Tan and smaller circle with darker gilt as outside. Crescents are graduated-sized circles from one end to the other with small circles at edges. Three columns of decorations with segments of adjoining columns at either edge. Vertical repeat: 12.55". Horizontal repeat: 4.45". Left edge, background border: 0.8". Right column, background border: 0.7". On right edge, printed in light tan, all caps, san-serif: "W.N. PEAK 1372". On left edge, color registration circle in light tan with a couple of colors inside it, repeated every 12.5". On back, small amount of background color that leaked around edge on right side. Left side, very small amount of leakage of background color. Base paper medium-tan.
b. Strip of border, leaves and flowers, silver and gilt on buff background. Three strips of border material printed on same sheet. Bottom edge consists of medium-brown silver stripe, medium-brown stripe adjacent to light gray broader stripe. Then another narrow medium-brown stripe. Then silver stripe, above broader band below it. Above it, series of gold, silver, gray, and tan fanciful floral arrangements in repetitive pattern of blossoms, leaves, stems, and buds. Some leaves have series of gold-colored dots on them. Horizontal repeat: 12.5". Above flowers, darker silver stripe, gray stripe, then lighter silver stripe. Then design repeats upward two more times. Floral vertical distance of design: 17.35". Vertical repeat 5.85". Along bottom, blank background strip: 0.6" wide. At top, blank background strip: 1.4" wide. Printed at top in light tan: W. N. PEAK 871". On back, some background color that bled under edge of light tan base paint.
