- Bayonet; Model 1816 socket type; steel; 16" triangular blade, with back flutes on either side of edge; prow pointed tip; 9.75" face flute, beginning at the point; 3" socket; "T" shaped style mortise slot, with bridge at back edge of mortise; rounded elbow; Stamped marking at front of socket near mortise slot; "/ \" and "X" markings on right edge.
