- Bayonet; Austrian M1849 Augustin Jager sword/socket bayonet; 24.25" steel sword blade; 4.125" socket; z-shaped mortise with locking ring and bridge at rear of socket; rounded elbow; 18" fullers, on either side of blade; "17/ F/ [?] / 4" stamped on elbow; "O / T", inspection markings stamped on bottom flat edge of blade.
