- Thermometer, maple sugar/syrup. Wooden support with brass scale, stamped "A. J. DODGE / PETERBORO. / N.H." Scale marked from 100 degrees to 270 degrees F, with indications for various states of syrup and sugar, such as soft, hard, and cakes. Also stamped "PAT.Dec. / 15.91." Glass bulb enclosed by tin protector. Brass originally painted white, now mostly bare. 1/2" diam. hole in wood for hanging.
